Our 4 times weekly casual access drop-in sessions are at the heart of our youth work provision and offer local young people a safe, warm space to relax and socialise in.
Playing games and age appropriate conversation based work on the wide array of topics that concern and worry young people allows our staff to inform, educate and build positive relationships with them. Many of the young people attending our drop-ins become involved with youth club life, making decisions through our youth management teams and helping to fundraise through bag packs and coffee mornings as well as attending our more structured provision such as Food and Bike Punks and trips away. We are also well placed to offer one to one support with a cup of tea, a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on when things don’t work out as planned.
Activities on offer include, cooking and arts and crafts as well as the usual table tennis, table football, games of pool, cards and dominos etc. We’ve got good sound systems in both youth clubs and also have computers and video games for those young people who don’t want to get involved with other activities but want to be part of something.
Young people are free to come and go as they please and best of all, it’s absolutely free, as is everything we do at the youth club, enabling all to take part!
Our current drop-in provision is as follows:
Tuesday P7-S1 6-8pm
Thursday S2+ 6-8pm
Wednesday P7+ 6-8pm
Friday S1+ 6-9pm.
